I, Too, Am Oxy Photo Campaign

I, Too, Am Oxy is a photo campaign showcasing the unheard narratives of students of color at Occidental College in hopes of building solidarity between students of color at Oxy and other colleges around the world. We thank the #ITooAmHarvard, #ITooamBerkeley, #ITooamOxford, #ITooamSOSA and so many other amazing campaigns that we have incorporated into our project for the purposes of comparison.

We demand that Occidental College implement institutional changes that address the larger issues of racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression, which oftentimes covertly manifest in everyday interactions. Please check out the Coalition at Oxy for Diversity and Equity’s (CODE) social media pages for specific demands as to how Oxy should address these issues on an institutional level.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email Adrienne Adams (adrianadams@oxy.edu) or Mika Cribbs (cribbs@oxy.edu).

Note: Although IDEAL STEM is not directly involved with CODE: Oxy or the I, Too, Am Oxy photo campaign, both projects strive to combat issues regarding diversity and equity at Occidental College.
